What does it mean to go NoXS Minimal? Live Simply & Simply Live.

In 2006, to avoid running injuries, I began to experiment with running barefoot and in minimalist shoes.

A few years later, I began “The Modern Monk Project” in which I experimented with monastic minimalistic principles of spirituality and life. This saw a start to paring back the clutter and crap that was beginning to consume my life and seeking to live in a more simple way and environment.

During 2012 I began to add other areas of minimalism into and removing excess (XS) from my life and health regimen. This included moving to living every day either barefoot or in ultra minimalist shoes, seeking more minimal forms of worship and spiritual devotion, and eating and training in a more back-to-basics and minimal way.

It became apparent fairly quickly that minimalism had deeper and further reaching effects than just running and having only a small number of things…

GOING NoXS MINIMALISM IN ALL ASPECTS OF LIFE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BRING PEACE, HEALTH, LOVE AND BALANCE.

And so, I began to live in a way that would have me seek to apply the principles of minimalism in a wholistic way that reaches across and into three key areas of life: BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT.

Within each of these areas are three groupings that generally sum up the elements within each area. The point of this blog is that these nine items are the bare essentials that, when stripped bare back with NoXS, can bring you to a place of life health, balance and happiness. These we will explore together in this blog and at the NoXS Minimal Facebook Page.
